Senior Sourcing Manager: Sourcing, Biologics, Contract, Manufacturing, KPI, Cost, Supply, Purchasing, Pharmaceutical skilled professional is required for a minimum contract duration of 8 months in Basel, Switzerland
The role:
To manage the Biologics R&D collaboration sourcing category to deliver high value sourcing solutions to support realizing year-on-year incremental productivity improvements, cost savings and process improvements.
Accountabilities:
Developing strategic sourcing plans, incl. Industry analysis, review of current strategy, gap/opportunity analysis to enable alignment and engagement with line function and decision making.
Implement sourcing strategies to meet productivity improvement and savings targets.
Negotiate and execute frame agreements, confidentiality agreements and contracts ensuring compliance to Clients legal, ethical, and procurement standards.
Create full spend transparency (spend baselines, KPIs and metrics) and establish efficient business processes in line with applicable regulations.
Manage key supplier relationships through appropriate programs (eg alliance/supplier relationship management) to enable innovation and cost containment through mutual accountability and trust.
Ensure Category Management and Supplier Management processes are followed as a key business process.
Develop RFI, RFPs, as needed for the category for preferred providers and negotiate key frame contracts for assigned category.
Deliverables:
Deliver category savings and meet cost efficiency targets through productivity and process improvements.
Ensure clear baselines to measure spend efficiency improvement and value add and full spend transparency.
Establish effective business partnerships with function; Ensure compliance with procurement, legal, regulatory, and ethical policies, Key category strategic suppliers are managed appropriately.
Experience:
Broad technical and pharmaceutical development understanding and experience for at least 3 to 5 years.
Business experience including purchasing/sourcing of at least 2 to 4 years.
Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver results with cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with successful presentation capabilities and negotiation skills.
Excellent team work in a multidisciplinary environment with strong customer focus.
Education:
University degree in Science or equivalent (eg BS or BA, PhD and MBA Preferred).
