For a major international client in Lausanne, we are looking for a:
Senior Scientific Software Developer
to develop scientific data processing infrastructure.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop computational pipelines in a distributed linux environment (HT Condor)
- Parallel computing (computing cluster, high throughput computing)
- Convert working prototypes of pipelines developed by scientists to robust, parallel versions
- Software development in Python and/or C++
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent software development skills in Python or C++
- Experience with job schedulers (HT Condor would be an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of Cluster computing (parallel processing)
- Familiarity with data brokers/large volumes of data as well as agile methodology.
- Experience with other programming languages like Java, Javascript would be an advantage
- Scientific background
- Fluent in English
This is a contract position with an international client until the end of 2015. The client is located on Lake Geneva, in Lausanne.
Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
