SENIOR QUANT- ENERGY INDUSTRY - ZURICH or LUCERNE AREAOur CLIENTS
For two of our clients we are looking for Senior Quant profiles having a large experience in Energy/Power industry.
The ROLE
As a SENIOR team member, your main duties will be:
- Ensure the development, set up and delivery of quant tools
- Provide solutions in structured energy, hedging, risk modeling, power plant model, ETRM processes, pricing, plant valuation, etc.
- Develop economic models to optimize the portfolio management in energy trading
- Analyze existing and new business opportunities within the energy industry
- Ensure project management and programming
- Team support and ad hoc project
The REQUESTED profile
To be a successful candidate, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- University degree (PhD, MSc or equivalent) in Engineering or Applied Sciences with a strong background in quant, mathematics and/or statistical modeling
- Strong knowledge of energy and commodity markets, mainly in power
- Risk management exposure
- Programming skills (Matlab/Java/C++)
- Fluent in German and in English
- Solid mathematical and analytical understanding
- Project management experience with at least one successful project to completion
- You are eligible to live and work in Switzerland (EU/Swiss passport OR Swiss permit)
