A Global Swiss BankTasks
• Provide level 3 specialist support for the Oracle environment in Switzerland and globally.
• Work in a local and global team of Database Administrators.
• Work closely together with other Distributed Systems teams (eg. Unix, Storage etc.) and business streams as required.
• Undertake scheduled on-call service.
Requirements
• Absolute confidence in obtaining and providing sound advise for customers and colleagues.
• Very strong inter-personal and communication skills and used to be dealing in a demanding client facing role.
• Strong operations knowledge and Service Delivery experience.
• Flexible, open-minded, team worker, with a friendly and pleasant personality.
• Self-driven, be able to work under pressure (deadlines) and be willing to work outside normal business hours (weekends).
• Ability to manage, prioritize and solve problems quickly and completely.
Technical skills
• Solid work experience as a senior Oracle specialist, up to and including Oracle version 11g.
• Minimum of 5 years overall work with Oracle, 3 of which were in a production support environment.
• Minimum 1 years working with a large Financial Organization (Retail and Invest- ment banking).
• Proficiency with Oracle DBA tasks as well as with SQL commands to a high level.
• In-depth understanding of UNIX (predominantly Solaris SPARC v10) and Linux (RHELv5).
• Strong skills in Performance Tuning (Instance-Tuning & Recommendation in SQL-Statement Optimization).
• Strong skills in RMAN (Recovery Manager), SQL*Backtrack, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), DataGuard, RAC and optionally GoldenGate.
Soft skills
• English, fluent written and spoken.
• German is a plus.
