For a project with our client from the Postal Service/Logistics industry we are currently looking for a Senior Enterprise/IT Architect.Your profile
Must-Have: At least 10 years of experience in architectures and technologies (e.g. event streaming, complex distributed application landscape, cloud/on-premise/edge hybrid environment, monolith decomposition, legacy software modernization patterns, …)
Must-Have: Proven participation in a project at a postal service (or comparable organization, excluding manufacturing companies and supply chain logistics in production/assembling) company with the subject of the conception of a strategy in the field of Logistical Network and/or End-2-End automated Routing of shipments (naming of contact at the reference company)
The task
Provide a technical and organizational framework for a postal company to allow development of a decoupled, maintainable and expandable IT system landscape for the core logistics. Compare solutions with other postal and logistics service companies. What are possible solutions and best practice target states for the product, network and routing dimension?
Phase 1: Maturity assessment of current situation
Compare the Domain maturity levels with best practice (e.g., as-is vs. target application landscape) and other postal and logistics service companies maturity levels
Comparison of maturity towards peers
Phase 2: Development and evaluation of different target scenarios
Define one or more target states (target maturity) for each domain, which should then be aggregated to at least two target states for each dimension (Product, Routing, log. Network)
Phase 3: Find target architecture and rough cost estimation for each scenario
Define needed target scenario as well as high-level roadmap necessary to reach it
