Are you an experienced Scala or JAVA developer looking for a new contract job in Zürich? Are you interested in joining a large international bank to help them deliver the largest Big Data initiative they have ever undertaken? Do you have prior experience of open source big data frameworks including Spark, HDFS or Hadoop? If so this could be the perfect contract development job for you!
In this Scala Developer contract job, you will be involved in the development of batch, intra-day and Real Time data pipelines for the bank's big data ingestion platform. As this is a new initiative for the bank, they are looking for experienced big data specialists that are going to be able to suggest what big data technologies the team should use and also perform proof of concept evaluation of different technologies and frameworks.
Technically, you are expected to have strong development skills in Scala, Java or Python and the Apache suite of Big Data technologies (Spark, HDFS, Hive and Hadoop). Database experience is a pre-requisite, ideally with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Hbase or Cassandra.
