Hi,A client of mine within the medical industry is currently looking for a freelance embedded software engineer for a long-term project. The project can be performed fully remotely.
Below is a breakdown of the project:
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design and develop embedded software for medical X-ray systems, including real-time control algorithms, image processing algorithms, and user interface applications.
2. Implement software features and functionality to support X-ray system operation, image acquisition, image reconstruction, and image analysis in collaboration with hardware engineers and imaging scientists.
3. Develop software drivers and interfaces to control X-ray generators, detectors, motors, and other system components using industry-standard protocols and communication interfaces.
4. Optimize software performance, memory usage, and power consumption to meet stringent requirements for speed, efficiency, and safety in medical applications.
5. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and verification testing of embedded software to ensure functionality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in embedded software development, particularly in medical device or regulated industry environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development, such as C/C++.
- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded software architecture, and software/hardware integration.
