Background: Our customer is planning to create a brand-new power-trading platform for clean energy solutions. They are looking to break into the top 5 power-trading platforms in the world and want ambitious, experienced individuals to help lead their team. You will be working for one of the most successful power trading companies where your colleagues are all market leaders in their respective fields. This ensures you are in the best environment possible.
Tasks:
- Supervising a team, planning, and reporting activities according to IT and business inputs
- Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of projects within the team
- Defining & implementing ETRM IT strategy blueprints for Power & Gas trading and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting within the Energy Market
- Refine, and develop trading strategies
- Support the leadership of the project's team, ensuring effective collaboration with business IT, impacted teams, and broader stakeholders
- Report to the Manager of Energy Management Systems, Gas & Power Trading IT
Skills:
- 5+ years' of work experience in utility or commodity trading environment, preferably with good knowledge of the energy markets
- Experience of any IT service management (e.g. ITIL), project management (e.g. PMI, Prince 2), agile methodologies, cloud and database technologies
- Knowledge of short-term and asset backed power trading, including scheduling & nominations processes and automated/ algorithmic trading
- Masters degree level education in business, computer science or similar.

Traders are both in Geneva and Paris.
This is a greenfield projects and we seek a true Power trading business expert who intimately understands the entire eco systems of building a power trading platform and the technical side, operations - the lot!! And a person who is ambitious to lead and reap the rewards of such a huge challenge and opportunity.
