For my Banking client based in Zürich, Switzerland we are looking for a Project Manager with banking experience

Location: Zürich Switzerland
Start Date: Mid April
Duration: 6 months with option to extend
Languages: English and German required
Daily Rate paid

Role overview:

As Project Manager you will full fill an important position to plan, coordinate, execute and monitor the deliverables of our PsN Project (Private Swift Network). PsN is a bank-wide connectivity solution, which allows the linking of local systems of clients (eg portfolio management systems) to the Back End and Front End systems of My client. PsN is currently used by > 200 client's through-out the bank. It is currently available for booking centres in Switzerland, Germany, APAC, MAUK, Luxembourg and Italy.

Project goals are:

  • globally aligning product in international booking centres to Swiss standard
  • Support of local business models
  • Closing gaps in B2B multi-channel strategy
  • Extension to further customer segments & profiling
  • Leveraging PSN investments for additional segments
  • Streamlining of processes, achieving higher scalability
  • Adapt to regional and compliance needs
  • Strategic functional enhancements

Key Deliverables

You'll be responsible to develop project guidelines, to obtain business and information technology sponsor approvals and to plan and coordinate the resources necessary to successfully execute your project.

Major Deliverables are:

  • Project guidelines
  • Work breakdown structures and effort estimations
  • Project plans and schedules, including resource- and cost plans.
  • Project execution aligned to our project standards based on CMMI level 3.
  • All project and process relevant artefacts based on our IT solution delivery policies.
  • Coordination of an international teams at different locations.
  • Regular risk management, cost management, issues and action items tracking.
  • Presentations at project steering committee as well as regular project status reporting to senior IT management.
  • Extensive stakeholder management.

Qualification/Competences

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years' experience in Project Management, ideally in a financial institution.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills up to senior management in English and German is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team, highly motivated and performance oriented.
