Platform Engineer
London (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Initial 6-month contract
We are looking for an experienced platform engineer to join our team and help us transition our tech estate from our Legacy AWS platform to the businesses Azure environment. You will be working on the cutting edge of energy innovation with a passionate group of platform engineers and developers.
Our ideal candidate will have a track record of creating and maintaining complex cloud platforms in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and eventual decommissioning of our AWS platform.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to facilitate the creation and maintenance of services in Azure.
- Monitor and enhance application and infrastructure performance.
- Modernize and scale our platform.
- Collaborate with other teams to address production issues and enhance ongoing reliability.
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in software development, particularly Python.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with Container Orchestration tools like Kubernetes, EKS/AKS.
- Strong understanding and expertise in Linux.
- Proficiency with Terraform.
- Fundamental knowledge of computer networking and distributed systems.
