The BdU Consulting AG provides various services in the IT sector in cooperation with large and established companies. For the ongoing support of our customers, we are looking for a Linux System Engineer with work location in the Zuerich and Geneva area.
Tasks
- Planning and design of Linux servers in a high availability environment
- Installation, automatization and configuration of Linux Enterprise systems
- Setup of high speed networks with fiber connections
- Setup and configuration of monitoring and performance tools
- 2nd and 3rd level support and maintenance of a Linux cluster environment and applications
Requirements
- Strong experience in Linux Enterprise preferred SLES 10 and 11 and Red Hat 5 and 6
- Bash scripting (Perl and/or Python nice to have)
- Experience in cluster environments, cluster storage (SAN) and cluster file systems
- GPFS knowledge is a big advantage
- Setup and configuration skills in Nagios and Performance Monitoring
- SAP BWA and/or HANA will be a big advantage
- English: good written and oral skills
- German and French nice to have
