About the Project:We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our client's team for an exciting project within the Postal Service and Logistics industry. As an Executive Logistics Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future landscape of core logistics for our client.
Your Profile:
Essential Requirements:
A minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in devising strategies for logistics and/or postal service companies, coupled with IT expertise, either as a consultant or in internal capacities within large organizations (with over 5,000 employees).
Demonstrated involvement in a project within a postal service company focused on conceptualizing strategies related to Logistical Network enhancement and/or End-2-End automated Routing of shipments (including references).
Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be to establish a robust technical and organizational framework for our client, facilitating the development of a flexible, sustainable, and scalable IT infrastructure tailored to their core logistics operations. This will involve:
Phase 1: Current Situation Assessment
Validate the current program scope, objectives, and roadmap.
Analyze the maturity level of the client's logistics operations compared to industry peers.
Phase 2: Scenario Development and Evaluation
Develop and evaluate various target scenarios, benchmarking against industry standards.
Define strategic business targets for End-2-End Routing and dynamic, automated logistics networks.
Phase 3: Target Architecture and Cost Estimation
Identify the optimal target architecture for each scenario.
Provide rough cost estimations and outline the high-level roadmap necessary for implementation.
Phase 4: Decision Making
Collaborate with stakeholders to finalize the preferred target scenario.

End Date: December 10, 2024
Location: Vienna (with potential for remote work, to be determined)
Commitment: 3-5 days per week
Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and German is essential.
