For our client, a globally operating bank, located in Zurich, we are looking for a DWH Business and Data Analyst for a 12 month's assignment
Job Description:
Do you have a knack for analysing business processes and reporting capabilities? Do you like to squeeze information out of data? Do you know how to make data story telling?
We're looking for someone like you who can help us:
- determine analytical IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
- conduct requirements-gathering activities like end user interviews
- support our business partners by describing analytical reporting capabilities
- evaluate reporting services using a variety of internal and external data sources
- assist in quality control and project management
- identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements
Your team
You'll be working in our central data warehouse team of Group Analytical IT Services. We are responsible for the provisioning of advanced reporting capabilities. You can join us in our locations in Zürich or Basel.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- worked in similar positions before and are an experienced data warehouse business and data analyst
- the ability to apply business analysis and data warehouse modelling techniques (UML, Kimball, Inmon)
- proficient SQL skills in relational DB environments, handling multiple and complex data sources
- data visualization skills with Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, etc.)
- the ability to interpret sets of data, design data marts and apply statistical methods
- business domain knowledge in the financial industry (Securities, Payments, Risk)
- an understanding of the software development life cycle
- strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
You are:
- passionate about working with data and designing analytical applications
- proactive, looking for creative and innovative solutions
- adaptable, able to work across teams and functions and to engage with senior management
- known for hitting deadlines and staying within budget
- fluent in German and English
