Beschreibung
Mandatory: The person must:
- Have a good understanding of the relational database theory
- Have a good understanding of how ETL processes should work in general
- Be able to read and write advanced SQL (in any DBMS)
- Be able to comfortably work in a UNIX system (using ssh/sftp)
- Have some knowledge of Shell script, Perl, python or other modern programming languages (not just Cobol or PL/I)
- Be able to solve complicated technical problems without cognitive biases (ie based on concrete evidences like error messages, log files, etc.)
- Have excellent technical writing and oral communication skills in English
- Have principles of doing the right things
Desirable: The person could:
- Have good knowledge of DB2 on AIX (ideally V11.1 or later)
- Have experiences of using ETL tools in data warehouse systems
- Have good sense of aesthetics in writing code and coding styles
- Have a good understanding of the importance of software development process based on experiences of developing large scale software products
- Have some experiences of supporting applications in production systems
- Have interests in the latest technologies such as cloud, analytics, etc.
- Be able to learn new concepts and skills quickly
- Be obsessed with efficiency and productivity
- Be able to understand and speak other languages, especially German
