Contract Manager (m/f/d) in Basel, Switzerland

Location: Basel, Switzerland
Duration: 1 year

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Manager to join our Research & Development team on a one-year contract basis. This new hire role is pivotal in expanding our capabilities in managing third-party contracts within the Global Medical Affairs (GMA) division. The successful candidate will establish and oversee the GMA Contract Management function, ensuring streamlined processes, enhanced control, and improved efficiency and compliance.

Tasks:
  • Conduct contract review and provide oversight throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support GMA teams in negotiating and finalizing new agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison with Procurement to facilitate smooth collaboration and adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) processes, including contract archiving and retrieval.
  • Manage Research Collaboration (RC) agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Provide support for Purchase Order (PO) creation and interface with Brickwork or other relevant systems.
  • Streamline and standardize contract management processes across GMA.
  • Enhance control over contract aspects such as financials, terms, execution, signatures, and archiving.
  • Improve efficiency and compliance in contract management.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulations.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management software and systems.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
