Computer People are working with a globally recognised leader within its industry assisting them in recruiting for a Cognos Architect for a 6 months contract.
Key skills:
- Involvement in the full software life cycle covering planning, requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery and maintenance
- Review and understand functional requirement documents prepared by the business analysts and share your understanding with rest of the team (both at Onsite/Offshore)
- Complete the build of reports on time and as per application standards
- Prepare Unit test cases, execute them and prepare test reports
- Deploy code on test environments, and support business users during User Acceptance Testing
- Analyse, estimate and prepare technical specifications for change requests allocated to you
- Coordinate with offshore teams and support their activities from onsite (applicable for Onsite candidate)
It is essential that you have the following:
- Must have strong experience in Cognos Report Studio/Analysis studio.
- Must have adequate experience of designing semantic layer using Cognos Framework manager.
- Must be a good problem solver
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have strong SQL experience with a relational and multidimensional database concepts
- Must have UNIX (Linux or Solaris or AIX) skills preferably along with Unix Shell Scripting
- Preferred to have experience on Java, knowledge is must
