Application Operations Engineer
Experis IT Switzerland is on the search for an Application Operations Engineer to join one of their clients, a well-known bank. This exciting 1 year contracting opportunity is only open to candidates with relevant experience, who are available in a short notice. Major responsibilities:
- To lead and be accountable for all application production engineering activity for several financial engineering HPC applications
- To maintain an in-depth, end-to-end technical understanding of the applications under management and their production environment
- To use application-specific knowledge and technical deep expertise to design and maintain all aspects of application operations management and monitoring
- To be a first contact for technical queries, production incidents and problems
- To cooperate with other teams on queries, dashboards, and alerts in data aggregation or visualization environments
- To work directly with financial engineering team and other teams in resolution of customer issues
Your profile:
- Broad experience in managing complex multi-tiered HPC applications
- Deep knowledge of Windows and .NET computational ecosystem and its internals
- Experience in complex application integration and performance tuning
- Experience in designing automation and integration scripts
- Low level problem solving skills
- Coping with pressure and deadlines
- Able to demonstrate previous evidence of drive, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm
- Knowledge of one or several languages C#, F#, Python - is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Linux computational environment and its internals - is a strong advantage
- Experience in operating and managing GPU applications - is a strong advantage
