Accountant - Financial Reporting - R2R vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the pharmaceutical sector.Your tasks:
- Providing seamless financial services with a clear customer focus, escalating exceptions as needed
- Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure accurate accounting, financial reporting, and revenue settlement
- Leading period-end closing and reporting, ensuring adherence to standards and regulations
- Defining, documenting, and ensuring compliance with processes, policies, and procedures
- Implementing control procedures to achieve SOX certification and promptly addressing audit issues
- Acting service-oriented to facilitate high-performing service lines and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Your experience/knowledge:
- 5+ years of financial experience with expertise in managing financial shared services
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization
- Previous experience with SAP and project management preferred
- University level degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Chartered Accountant
- Lean/Six Sigma Certified would be beneficial
- Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken, other languages are plus
