Amass Technology are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join a brand new Greenfield Development project in Portugal on full time, remote basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontend Development: Build modern, responsive merchant-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Merchant Experience: Develop features covering merchant onboarding, account management, payment terminal management, and transaction visibility.
- API Integration: Work closely with backend engineers to design, integrate, and consume APIs.
- Product & Design Collaboration: Partner with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences.
- Code Quality: Write well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to frontend architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
- Performance & Reliability: Monitor and improve frontend performance, reliability, and overall production quality.
- Greenfield Development: Contribute to building and evolving a modern frontend platform within a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
- React & TypeScript: Strong commercial experience building production web applications using React and TypeScript.
- Data-Rich Applications: Experience developing dashboards, portals, or other data-rich web applications.
- API Integration: Strong understanding of integrating frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Testing: Good understanding of modern frontend testing practices and experience writing reliable, maintainable tests.
- Performance: Understanding of frontend performance optimisation, monitoring, and production reliability.
- Accessibility: Good understanding of web accessibility and experience building inclusive user experiences.
- Technical Stack: Experience with Git/GitHub and modern frontend development tooling.
- Cloud & Backend Exposure: Exposure to AWS and backend services, particularly Kotlin-based services, is desirable.
- Engineering Mindset: Comfortable working in a greenfield environment, collaborating across disciplines, and adapting to evolving requirements.
