Cybersecurity Developer
Location: Remote
Contract Type: Freelance / B2B
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Expert to serve as the primary technical reference for cybersecurity across an industrial product portfolio. This role combines security architecture, secure development, and compliance work, ensuring products meet IEC 62443-4-2 and EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements throughout their lifecycle.
You will work closely with R&D, Product Management, and external auditors to strengthen cybersecurity practices and support both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for cybersecurity matters across the portfolio
- Support audits and communicate technical solutions clearly to auditors and stakeholders
- Maintain and improve the overall cybersecurity architecture
- Work with developers and architects to implement security requirements in secure communication, authentication, and system hardening
- Own vulnerability and patch management, including SBOM maintenance and dependency updates
- Maintain cybersecurity documentation for audits, customers, and internal use
- Analyze customer security requirements and translate them into technical actions
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, and scripting (bash/PowerShell)
- Experience with Linux-based embedded systems, distributed architectures, and Docker
- Background in cybersecurity for industrial, embedded, or IoT environments
- Knowledge of secure communication, certificates, authentication, and authorization
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001 and IEC 62443 standards
- Experience with CVE tracking, security patching, and dependency management
