For over a decade now, my work has revolved around developing for or running systems based on Kubernetes or the Kubernetes Resource Model (KRM).
For the last year, I've been working for different companies, but always within the NeoNephos Foundation on open source building blocks for cloud and edge stacks to advance the digital sovereignty of the European Union.
Currently, I work for Dell on the ecosystem around the Metal Operator, the bare metal management of NeoNephos' IronCore project. I develop the Metal Operator Test Framework used for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and the Metal Lab for testing against virtualised BMCs.
I have previously worked for companies such as SAP SE, IONOS Cloud and Cisco Systems Austria.
The projects I work on are usually a combination of infrastructure and software development. Examples include public or private cloud, platform-as-a-service or software-as-a-service solutions.
Additionally, because I have a background in hands-on systems engineering and networking, I understand how cloud-native technologies relate to the hardware they actually run on.
I am as proficient in automating infrastructure as I am in creating services, platforms or automation tools themselves.

For Dell I work in the ecosystem around the IronCore project’s bare metal management, the Metal Operator. The project about Open-source, Kubernetesnative infrastructure(IaaS, bare metal lifecycle management, network automation and AI/accelerator management) is part of the Neonephos foundation dedicated to advancing open source projects that align with the strategic objectives of the European Union.
- My work is open source and can be followed on my GitHub profile. It is dedicated to ensure that Dell’s hardware continues to work as a bare metal base for the IronCore Project.
- I currently develop the Metal Operator Test Framework used for Hardware-in-theLoop (HIL) testing and the Metal Lab for testing against virtualised BMCs.
- I represent Dell within the engineering Team of the Metal Operator project and work on issues in the Metal Operator project if they arise in my own work.
At SAP SE I was part of the engineering team around the Platform Mesh project that builds around the Kubernetes API(KAPI) and the KCP Project. The project is about discovering, ordering and orchestrating services across any provider through Kubernetes. It provides a declarative API layer between providers and consumers on Multi-tenant Control Planes to back decentralised marketplaces that s consumers to browse available APIs and providers to publish services. The project is part of the Neonephos foundation dedicated to advancing open source projects that align with the strategic objectives of the European Union.
- I worked on a multitude of Kubernetes Operators in the Platform Mesh Service.
- Within my tenure I joined the January 2026 Neonephos Hackathon at SAP SE in Walldorf.
Greenfield development of a cloud platform based on Kubernetes Operators. Targetic bare-metal, airgapped appliance installations in the defense sector.
- I was involved in the design phase and implementation of a on-premises baremetal, airgapped infrastructure as a service solution.
- My work involved designing the low-level platform infrastructure setup and higher level API layer(KCP) and implementing Kubernetes Operators where necessary.
