I have worked in frontend development for more than 25 years - including 15 years in consulting and working as an independent freelancer since 2022..

My main tools are HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React and Vite with TanStack Query and Router handling data and routing. I have worked with UI libraries like Material UI, Tailwind and Fluent UI. I have solid experience with data-heavy applications with extensive API integration, as well as public websites, supported by Playwright tests and CI/CD pipelines that make deployment easy. If you don't see part of your stack here, I quickly pick up new technologies. Recently, I have also focused on AI-assisted coding, using Claude, Codex, and Copilot to work more efficiently.

Alongside my technical abilities I also bring judgment built from experience: making architecture decisions that stay maintainable, keeping solutions as simple as the problem allows, and building interfaces that hold up in daily use. Having done 15 years of consulting, I adapt to new teams and codebases quickly without a long ramp-up.

Since going freelance, I have done several greenfield projects, like a global data portal for the United Nations (UNOPS) against a headless Craft CMS, contributed to the development a private banking website for one of Denmark's largests banks in Next.js with Umbraco's headless CMS, and built a project management tool for the largest construction company in Denmark integrated with Microsoft Dynamics.

  • Built a "copy from project" feature letting users search past projects and selectively import pipes and operations
  • Rich text editor for inline comments in a data grid.
  • Enabled bulk actions across multiple pipes (assigning methods, overwriting values, deleting), cutting repetitive manual work for large projects
  • Implemented Tanstack DB for instant updates
  • Playwright end-to-end test suite covering all critical flows

The United Nations wanted greater transparency for the projects, they do around the world, by doing a sub-site that showcases the work they do.

This was a greenfield project and I was brought on to do:
  • The frontend architecture
  • API integration with Craft CMS
  • Develop a React component library that users could choose from in Craft CMS
  • Implement the design from the internal UI/UX design team at the UN

Per Aarsleff is a large danish civil engineering and construction company that has a division for renovating municipal sewer systems, with a no-dig concept for insulating sewer pipes from within. All projects live inside Microsoft Dynamics. The customer needed to display and work with projects, in a way that is not supported by low-code tools available in Dynamics. I was brought on for a greenfield project to create a custom project workspace/dashboard.

The taks involved:
  • Frontend architecture
  • Create a HTML Web Ressource for Dynamics
  • Integrate with Microsoft Dataverse via Azure function apps
  • Setup of autogenerated types and autogenerated Tanstack queries and mutations
  • Vitualization of large data tables for infinate scroll
  • UI development in React & Fluent UI (matches Dynamics UI) where users, amongst others, can:
  • review CCTV reports of sewer systems
  • look at visual outlines of sewer pipes
  • import XML files from public sources of sewer systems
  • organize projects into subprojects and installations
  • add renovation tasks
  • change project data

Mindworking is a SaaS platform for real-estate firms to manage their marketing and client/case management. From 2017-2022 I was part of the team that built the platform, as a senior frontend developer.

I was brought back on for a 3 month assigment to help out on various development tasks:
  • Built the frontend for an AML (Anti Money Laundering) identity verification flow in the document center: a dialog that displays incoming verification data from public systems, lets case workers review and select the correct details, handles SSN, and shows completed status.
  • Extended case, customer and shop management — including create/update/delete operations for customers and shops, and handling of contact details (phone, email, address).
  • Delivered a standard consents feature in settings, including integrating the platform's existing rich text editor for consent texts and adding form validation.
  • Carried out a major round of frontend dependency upgrades (React, Relay, GraphQL, MUI and others) as part of a team-wide modernization, plus TypeScript conversions and cleanup of legacy code.

I was brought on as part of an engineering team to help develop a greenfield pilot project web site for private banking customers.

The task involved:
  • Frontend API integration with headless Umbraco CMS
  • Generate site UI based on JSON configuration objects returned from API
  • Developed reusable, accessible React components to use on the website
