Senior DevOps & Cloud Architect 15+ Years Exp Looking for Remote Freelance

I am a Senior DevOps and Cloud Architect with more than 15 years of professional experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale, secure, and compliant cloud platforms. I have worked with global enterprises such as Bosch and Zalando, delivering production-grade solutions in highly regulated and data-intensive environments.

My core expertise lies in cloud architecture on Azure and AWS, including AKS/EKS, VPC/VNet design, IAM and access control, networking, storage, and cost-optimized infrastructure. I have extensive hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and Bicep, as well as operating and securing multi-account and multi-subscription environments.

In the DevOps domain, I design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins, enable GitHub organization governance, and automate build, test, and deployment workflows. I work daily with Docker and Kubernetes, supporting highly available, scalable, and observable systems.

I also bring a strong background in data engineering and MLOps. I have designed and operated data platforms and data lakes using Databricks, Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Redshift, and Azure Databricks, supporting analytics, machine learning, and large-scale data ingestion. I have experience building GDPR-compliant pipelines, including pseudonymization and access-controlled data processing.

My technical foundation includes Python, SQL, and deep experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Exasol, and Amazon Redshift, including performance tuning and data modeling (star schema, physical modeling). I have also worked with NoSQL systems such as MongoDB and query engines like Presto.

Beyond hands-on engineering, I have led and mentored engineering teams, supported hiring and technical interviews, and worked closely with product owners, security teams, and stakeholders. I am used to translating business requirements into robust technical solutions and documenting architectures clearly.

I am available for part-time, remote freelance engagements (up to 10 hours per week) in cloud architecture, DevOps consulting, platform engineering, and data/ML infrastructure. I am fully employed and have employer consent for side projects, avoiding direct competition.
