Finishing a change program entailing the setting up of a central logistics and distribution center and consolidation of all DCs, using JDA (DHL side) and SAP (Customer Levi side). 

Managing teams, performing transitional functions and in general reshaping the program to become a success. Guiding and teaching the team, bringing in best practices, operations excellence practices.

Managing vendors and delivery.

Providing project implementation services, entailing Supply chain optimization, cost management, Operations Excellence process implementation, systems design and implementation, mechanization (sorters, conveyors). Various portals. Development (JDA/RedPrairie) with the use of SCRUM, embedded in a larger agile organizational setting.

International assignment (US, Italy, Russia, Germany, UK, Netherlands)

Taken over from previous manager to complete the program, which was facing difficulties.  DC full Go Live in new setting is completed and has been a significant success.
 

Management at KPN Consumer Residential of:
- The outsourcing team,
- Supply Chain service providers.

Responsible for partner management, RFP building and vendor selection, procurement, and planning.  Also responsible for a major organizationalchange program relating to sourcing strategy and implementation.Implementation of omnichannel strategy in logistics, E-Commerce, Operations Excellence with outsourcing partners, SCOR framework (Supply Chain Operations Reference), linking KPN ERP systems like Oracle EBS with the various systems in play with partners, Performance management, and related work.

Implementation of business requirements and changes. Managing the setup of various ERP environments (Oracle EBS, Huawei).

Involved with the development of various customer facing systems in use with KPN (portals, websites, webshops). KPN uses agile methodologies (likeSCRUM and DEVOPS) in a larger enterprise setting. 

Co-design and management of a major initiative to centralize functions within KPN in a new central Organization, setting up the various work streams, serving 9.5 million customers. Business owner of large IT programmes.

Leading the department, managing vendors, and the like. CEVA is one of the largest international logistics companies, employing 50.000+ people.

Before this position: Project & program management on various (key) business and IT projects, senior level. Participating in initiatives to improve internal processes and procedures.

The latest assignment within CEVA was as a member of the Management Team at The Hague (interim).

Freelance Project Manager for an international project for the replacement of the current international Booking - and Reservation system for all offices, routes and activities on the Norfolkline Ferries. Next to these systems the customer facing solutions (sales, bookings, loyalty programs, underlying revenue management_.

This was a development from scratch based on / implementing SOA architecture (Java/J2EE, Glassfish, Tomcat, .NET, IIS). The management also entailed all business operations related activities.

Signed up for a period of 4 years as business manager Europe for this group,  delivering logistics and supply chain technology to companies on an international scale. I was responsible for leading and building the group business in Europe, but also conducted business in Asia, the US and the Middle-East. Identified and executed business initiatives, managed contacts with existing and potential customers, performed project assessments and risk analysis, and negotiated and executed contracts.  Maintained contact with various international product and services groups, for which he was the interface to the (potential) customer.

Was involved with product conceptualization and R&D initiatives to identify and introduce suitable technologies with customers. Also I conceptualized integrated technology solution for complex system,  like embedding automatic gates, RFID, DGPS, Wireless Communications, interfaces to vehicles, and many other technologies.
