    • The MIRANDA project, funded by the European Union, is designed to revolutionize cybersecurity by utilizing advanced Cybersecurity Digital Twins (CDT). In today’s digital age, as more cities and industries integrate smart technologies, the risks of cyber threats grow exponentially. MIRANDA addresses this challenge by creating a dynamic, virtual model of real-world systems, enabling real-time monitoring and proactive threat management.

At the core of the project is the concept of the Digital Twin, a virtual representation of a physical system that operates in parallel, constantly updated with real-time data. By applying this to cybersecurity, MIRANDA allows for the simulation and analysis of potential vulnerabilities and threats before they manifest in the real world. This approach goes beyond traditional cybersecurity measures, providing organizations with the ability to predict, detect, and neutralize attacks before they can do any harm.

One of the key areas of application for MIRANDA is Smart Cities. As urban areas embrace digital transformation, the need for secure infrastructure becomes paramount. The CDT developed under the MIRANDA project ensures that these smart systems – from transportation networks to utility grids – are protected with the highest level of security. Key project partners, such as WOBCOM, are utilizing this technology in cities like Wolfsburg and beyond, providing their customers with unparalleled cybersecurity for their digital assets.

Launched in September 2024, MIRANDA is a collaboration between various European research institutes, technology companies, and public sector partners, all working together to push the boundaries of digital security. With its innovative approach, MIRANDA is set to redefine how we secure digital ecosystems in smart cities and beyond. The MIRANDA project, funded by the European Union, is designed to revolutionize cybersecurity by utilizing advanced Cybersecurity Digital Twins (CDT). 500-1000 Mitarbeiter

The Gaia-X 4 Future Mobility project family is located in the mobility domain of the German Gaia-X Hub. The common focus of the projects in the family is on the Gaia-X-based implementation of future mobility applications with high product proximity, for which data-based networking with manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, and users is essential.

Accordingly, a wide variety of partners from all application, research, and topic areas of mobility and, in particular, information and communication technologies are involved here.

In total, around 80 partners from industry and science are involved in this joint initiative that is coordinated by the DLR Institute for AI Safety and Security.

TELLUS – Domänenübergreifende Föderierung und Vernetzung für kritische Anwendungen; Teilvorhaben: Innovation und Standardisierung für Datenräume Gaia-X

WOBCOM GmbH

500-1000 Mitarbeiter
