Mobile and Web App Development

Currently, I’m developing TimeHub, a mobile app designed for real-time communication and coordination among apprentices. Built to streamline presence and break-time notifications, this app includes status updates, office location tracking, and group-based notifications—plus, a photo gallery feature for capturing daily moments. My approach focuses on user-friendly interfaces, efficient backend communication, and features that make team coordination seamless. This project is one of many that reflect my commitment to creating functional, user-centered apps.

Additionally, I’m working on Sweape, a Tinder-like video swipe app that allows users to sort videos based on preferences with a simple swipe. For the backend, I implemented a RESTful API with functionality to handle different video actions (keep, delete, like) and even an undo feature. My ability to integrate front-end design with backend infrastructure enables a smooth, responsive user experience.

Backend and API Development

I’m experienced in setting up and maintaining robust backend systems to support complex applications. My work often involves creating RESTful APIs with secure authentication, error handling, and performance in mind. For instance, in my recent React Native app, I implemented a Context-based API check that monitors backend status and adapts the app’s interface according to network conditions. This includes a dynamic error screen, auto-refresh functionality, and user-friendly debugging capabilities, showing my attention to reliability and user experience.

IoT and Embedded Systems

As part of my diverse skills, I have hands-on experience with IoT. I’m developing an application called ble-led-panel, a Python package that enables LED matrix control. I chose Toga for the GUI and have designed it to be highly configurable, supporting real-time interaction with LED displays. This experience underscores my adaptability to different technologies, from microcontrollers to GUI frameworks.

Automation, OCR, and Data Management

For a recent OCR project, I developed a tool that automates text extraction from images using Tesserent. This application integrates SQLite for data storage, with the flexibility to import, organize, and run OCR on multiple images simultaneously. I also used Briefcase and Toga to design a streamlined GUI, reinforcing my skills in automation, data management, and user interface design.
