SAP SCM Senior Consultant

As part of a company-wide consolidation of the ERP systems of Haribo, the SAP system (S/4 HANA and SAP SCM) is rolled out step by step in all subsidiaries. The focus is to implement the standard template and, if necessary, to make adjustments to the template.
Key responsibilities:
    • Workshops with Power Users to determine the current processes in the legacy ERP system
    • Fit-Gap Analysis of SAP Template with Power Users
    • Design of production processes in S/4 HANA
    • Implementation and Customizing in S/4 HANA and APO PP/DS
    • Development and Implementation of Change Requests for Template Gaps
    • Linking of orders with cross-order relationships
    • Workforce planning in APO with labour resources
    • Use of product hierarchy for planning
    • Design of an intracompany replenishment planning process with a dedicated MRP area for the transfer between both plants
    • Planning of PP-Masterdata migration with mockloads
    • Training of Power Users with workshops
    • Integrative Testing with SAP SolMan
    • Preparation of test cases
    • Power user support during testing
    • Test documentation
    • Day in the Live (DITL) testing with End to End processes
    • Migration of PP-Masterdata from the Legacy system

The business requirement was to have the possibility to add a note to an order, which will persist during the order cyle and eventually be displayed at the MES on the shop floor.
Tasks:
    • Use of standard funcionality to create a note in the SNP planning book for a keyfigure and period
    • Copy of the note to the PP/DS planned order during order conversion from SNP to PP/DS
    • Development of a functionality in the detailed scheduling board and product view, to edit or create a note for an order
    • Copy of the note to the production order during order conversion from planned order
    • Cordination with MES team to show the order note on the terminals in the shop floor
    • Creation of the Functional and Technical Specification
    • Training of the users

The existing SAP template was rolled out as part of the construction of a new plant.

The requirement was to be able to assign a color to a product in the PP/DS detailed scheduling board, to improve the visualization of the planning process and to identify dependecies easily.
    • Implementation of a new plant-dependent master data field in S/4 for a color code
    • Adaption of an existing CIF exit to transfer the new field to APO
    • Setup of a new detailed scheduling board profile with object colors according to color code
    • Creation of a Technical and Functional Specification
    • Training of the users

Part of the Spectrum Brands SAP IT team, working as a SAP Application manager located at the subsidary Tetra GmbH.
Responsibilities:

• Application management for the SAP APO system and SAP ECC PP module as well as second level support for modules MM, SD, WM, QM, PM for approx. 400 SAP users at 2 plants and one DC in Europe
• Support for the Group IT in the USA in the SAP APO environment
• Support for interfaces to neighbouring IT systems (shop floor systems)
• Fire Fighter for all SCM related issues
• Optimisation of business processes with SAP Business Workflow
• Coordination and management of the SAP key user organisation
• Realisation of Change requests in the SAP environment

Spectrum Brands decided to sell the VARTA household battery business. The existing SAP landscape has remained with VARTA and for the Pet business a new SAP landscapes had to be created with the existing customizing, master and transactional data.
Key responsibilities:
    • Conception of the separation of the Pet business unit in SAP ERP for the modules PP/PM/QM and SAP APO
    • Transfer of the data from the legacy SAP system into a new SAP system landscape
    • Definition of selection critiera to seperate data in SAP ECC on table level
    • Deletion of legacy data in SAP APO
    • Coordination and documentation of user acceptance tests
    • Maintenance of the Business-Process-Master-List
    • Preparation of test cases
    • Test documentation
    • Procurement of licences for SAP add-ons for the new SAP landscape

Historically evolved different demand planning processes have been harmonized into a common process.
Tasks:
    • Workshops with demand planning teams to develop a joint process
    • Design and customizing of a new standardised sales planning process
    • Different planning areas with different characteristic values combinations (CVC) were harmonized to one planning area
    • Transfer of old data to the new planning area
    • Rework of process chains for forecast release / backups

Spectrum Brands acquired IAMS Europe B.V. and integrated the company into the exitsing SAP system landscape. Main responsibility was to adopt the existing planning process to the new plant:
    • Creation of a Business Blueprint with SAP key users
    • Design/Implementation in SAP APO
    • Key user Training and Testing
    • Go-Live support and Hypercare

The existing process for the annual operational planning involved a lot of manual effort and was very error-prone. The requirement was to reduce to manual effort and to reduce the time to create the annual operational plan.
Tasks:
    • Workshops with all stakeholders to agree on a joint approach
    • Development of a Report to upload forecast figures on monthly basis for all SKUs from an Excel file
    • Development of a report to execute a complete BOM explosion to get the requirements for all low-levels
    • Export to Excel for further processing by the different departments

Spectrum Brands decided to consolidate the two existing SAP landscapes in Europe into one landscape.
Responsibilities:
    • Transfer of data and customizing of the legacy system to the new system
    • Maintenance of the Business-Process-Master-List
    • Coordination and documentation of user acceptance tests
    • Cutover support for APO and PP
    • Go-Live support
    • Hypercare

Part of the Supply Chain team with the following tasks:

• Creation of demand plans with SAP APO-DP in co-operation with the sales department
• Ensuring high product availability for Purchased finished goods mainly sourced from China
• Monthly S&OP review
• Coordination of dates for new product launches / promotions
• Key figure-based reporting with SAP BW
