For a project at our banking client's site in Zurich we are looking for a German speaking Java Application Platform Delivery Manager (2747)
This role is based in the "Global Project & Delivery Management" sub-department. This is the main interface between clients and Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) for IT infrastructure needs. It acts as a trusted and dependable partner for Global Application Development (GAD) to ensure customer satisfaction, value-creation and TIS delivery alongside commitments to serve customer needs. It supports the Global Account Managers in delivery of the book-of-work and interfaces with GAD application owners and the developer community (Front/Back Office IT; Investment Banking, and TIS).
Key Deliverables:
Managing IT infrastructure projects according to the bank's standard project management methodology
Plan project work
Manage dependencies and deliver results
Manage issues, risks and mitigation actions
Develop and manage stakeholders according to program or project governance
Manage reporting and sign-offs with senior stakeholders
Communicate to management, stakeholders, team members, and subject matter experts on different levels
Additional duties and responsibilities:
Define, collect and monitor project metrics and manage project performance
Manage risk and issue tracking, ownership and resolution
Organize infrastructure capacity and coordinate with all partners for configuration purposes
Ensuring quality and compliance to standards
Qualifications/competencies:
Minimum of 8 years professional experience in People and Relationship Management
A degree, higher education in Computer Science/IT, or equivalent work experience
15 years' experience as a Project and Delivery Manager for IT infrastructure projects
Strong Project Management skills with a PMP or equal certification (eg PRINCE II)
Expertise in Java Landscape and Oracle WLS
Understanding of operating systems (UNIX, Windows, Linux and Storage infrastructure including virtual environments)
Ability to coordinate tasks across multiple and multi-cultural teams
Good organizational skills
Team player who can collaborate across multiple functional areas
Must be dedicated, driven and flexible to the changing dynamics of an operational function.
Experienced in working in an international environment
A good communicator who can write and speak clearly, concisely, and convincingly
A strong negotiator with the ability to work successfully with a large, diverse and demanding set of clients from the Front Office and the development technology functions and capable of managing differing client's priorities
Built and managed a high performing and diverse team of individuals across differing functional disciplines

Profound knowledge of Hardware, Networks, Storage, Virtualization and IT Security
Demonstrable experience of working in an IT Service Management capacity
ITIL Service Delivery qualification is desirable

Extensive experience in implementation and methodologies
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills (internal and with external partners)
Fluent in German and English
Motivation and potential for further development
