SQL Server - Support Analyst
My client, a world renowned pharmaceuticals company are looking for a SQL server support analyst to join their team in Bern, Switzerland on a 6 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who would like to incorporate a household name, and great experience on to their CV.
Project/Department Description and responsibilities:
- Daily 3rd line incident and troubleshooting
- Supporting the operating company administrators, not the end-users
- Issuing Scripting guidelines
- Coordinating the follow-up of compliance and security of the workstations
- Work independently and lead assignments/projects of moderate to high complexity
- Maintaining and improving the customer service and availability
- Partner with business community/Vendors to solve complex problems and/or improve existing
processes
- Develop and maintain the support documentation for all infrastructure related subjects
- Manage and maintain an accurate asset Inventory per company procedures
- Perform basic analysis, design, implementation & maintenance activities under minimal direction
Non-Technical profile requirements:
- Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
- Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
- Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
- Quick learner, motivated self-starter
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
- Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines
Methodology/Certification requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience. Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
