The Windows Virtualization team within my Swiss based client is responsible for providing virtual desktops and remote application solutions for the client globally. With this specific role, strength is required and the ideal candidate will be responsible for the architecture, blueprints and the landscape of the Windows client and the application virtualization infrastructure. With a strong architecture and engineering background and an in-depth knowledge of the market, the candidate will shape and drive innovation in this area and provide value to the business while defining and governing the respective standards.
Job Description;
You will actively work on concepts which reach across the entire workplace estate and support the value creation process with the goal of providing an excellent customer experience.
You will be responsible for:
* Staying current with application, desktop and remote computing technologies, trends and best practices
* Liaising with IT vendors and consultants to design solutions
* Creating design concepts and sharing with senior management
* Engineering and testing new solutions to ensure business value
* Documenting and diagramming systems for implementation by others
* Assisting other teams who are also creating solutions in their areas of expertise
* Focus on strong Business Analytical skills, which aim to define Requirement Gathering, Business Case Validation, Solution Proposals, Cost Implications, Implementation Planning, Prioritization, Change Management, Operational Readiness Requirements, Value Proposition while strongly maintain the high level of standardization.
Desired Skills and Experience
* 5+ years technical expertise of Citrix XenDesktop,NetScaler, XenApp (Other Citrix platforms are a plus, Citrix Certifications are a plus)
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft's App-V and Hyper-V platforms
* Strong knowledge of AppSense is an advantage
* Sound experience with architectural/engineering design concepts
* Ability to lead technological efforts, initiatives and projects
* Strong business analysis skills and problem resolution skills
* Experience of architectural design concepts
* Knowledge and experience with Windows server and Workstation operating systems
* Comfortable working regularly with colleagues who are in other locations/time zones
* Fosters a proactive, collaborative and team oriented work environment
* Project management certification is of advantage
* Excellent command of English, German is a plus
