Randstad is seeking an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) SME with strong technical skills gained in enterprise environment where you were responsible for engineering and providing support of directory services. Our client is an international Swiss Bank.

This role will be customer-facing and high-profile requiring a highly competent technician able to provide clear direction in terms of technical implementation strategy and priorities, managing customer expectations accordingly. They should also be self-starting capable of managing and balancing multiple priorities, leveraging the resources of the global engineering team as required.

Key Areas and responsibilities:

The core responsibility will be to serve as the engineering lead for LDAP directory services. Our client is in the process of starting a transition from a Legacy platform to a new technology platform where we will re-implement new processes and tools to operate and manage the environment. We will also partner with customers to migrate existing deployments to the new platform, in addition to designing and implementing new application-specific LDAP services.

The individual filling this role is required to have extensive LDAP experience preferably gained in a similarly complex enterprise environment.

In terms of skill set, what we are seeking is:

  • Strong (generic) LDAP knowledge
  • SUN DSEE 6.3.x experience
  • UnboundID Directory Server & Data Synch experience a plus
  • Strong unix Shell Scripting (preferably bash)
  • Detailed understanding of Solaris and RHEL O/S
  • Experience with Programming/Scripting against LDAP Directories (preferably JNDI)
  • Java Programming experience a plus

Required Skills:

  • Experienced with application integration & adoption
  • Proven delivery & technical problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytic & problem solving skills

In terms of experience

  • 7+ years Unix platform experience
  • 5+ years LDAP engineering experience
