Harvey Nash is looking for a Personalized Lab Applications Business Analyst for an 8 month project in Switzerland.
The role is for a Business Analyst with experience in software development.
You are responsible for
Understanding the research business environment, the lab processes, data flow, and research data in order to identify the informatics needs. As part of a global team, the candidate will gather requirements to build and deliver enterprise informatics solutions. The design, implementation, testing and maintenance of small applications. Meeting the client approved guidelines and team internal standards in terms of development, quality and security Understanding the business environment by working directly with the scientists Supporting other IT teams by evaluating and improving their processes Analysing and challenging business processes and identifying areas with potential for optimization Managing individual applications, including planning and monitoring of the work performed by other developers Managing the delivery of software solutions Enabling creative use of existing technology platforms and encouraging new technologies where appropriate Requirements
Experience in programming is required to ensure good quality comfortable with working closely with end user clients and with a team of developers to deliver customized applications Strong knowledge in programming language such as C#, ASP .NET or equivalent, experience in SQL, SharePoint is beneficial Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in both a life science discipline and computer science Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Visio Excellent communication (oral and written) in English Are you available immediately, have experience working within a Life Science company?
