We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company, for a Access Network engineer to join their business in Switzerland

Position Title: Access Network engineer

Position Type: Contract

Start Date: April 2015.

Duration: 3 months

Location: Switzerland, Zurich

Responsibilities

- Fulfil successfully the POC testing cases.

- Establish on the lab networking environment, according with the customer's requirement.

- Directing equipment testing, defining, documenting, and enforcing service validation.

- Interface with the Customer's organization and testing the solutions on the laboratory.

- Ensure that the Network planning & testing process meets technical requirements and Customer's expectations and are able to deliver the prescribed product validation.

Qualifications

- University degree or above, Master's Degree preferred.

- Knowledge of Access Network technologies : GPON, FTTx are a must.

- Minimum 5 years network operation and testing experience. Experiences in complex solution validation on the access network are preferred.

- Strong knowledge of ISO/OSI stack, good ability on the troubleshooting and testing on the Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.

- Strong experience on creating and testing solutions in the lab .

- Ability to test configure and design L2 and L3 QOS profiles.

- Familiar with Huawei Access Network products is an advantage.

- Analytic mind, problem solving, demonstrated ability in finding multi technical solutions, good interpersonal skills, customer influence capability and coordination competency.

- Excellent written, oral and listening skills in English, German, French and preferably, Italian.
