Role:
Junior Development Engineer
As a Development Engineer you will work as a part of a cross-functional team on the development of new complex diagnostics systems, typically fluidics, robotics software, thermal, electrical, mechanical and biochemistry elements. Perform hands-on testing, including evaluations of system error handling, reliability improvements and system performance.
Responsabilities:
In this position you will be responsible for the following areas:
. Plan and execution of the work packages within area of responsibility including reporting and escalation of issues to the management.
. Experimental design and execution of the experiments in the lab.
. Creation of Test Cases based on Product Requirements.
. Execution of Test Cases, analysis of the results and creation of the respective regulatory documents.
. Issue tracking and verification of bug fixes/Anomalies.
. Subject matter expert for assigned area of responsibility.
. Provide guidance and support to others.
. Flexibility to transfer knowledge to different tasks/subprojects within SD.
. Generate required documentation/procedures/technical reports in support of daily activities and be able to author official documents in English (eg Design history Files) for the preparation of milestones.
. Prepare and deliver presentations of project results to own or other groups.
Coordinate efforts with other functional areas to accomplish tasks:
Hardware-, Software-, Consumables-, Assay-Development, and System-Integration.
The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following disciplines:
. Manage overall Cloud Services inventory to ensure high level of data quality by developing and applying data quality rules.
. Interact with markets to verify and collect information that is complete and accurate, publish statistics on Cloud Services
. Execute and deliver regular reports on Becoming compliant measures.
. This should cover all Streams, Markets and Cloud Services.
. Support the regular Global Cloud Services Review meeting by taking care of administrative activities such as record create, updating of statuses, collection of Documentary evidence.
. Document standard operating procedures for staying compliant, with a view to offshoring these activities.
. Update the ASI Innovation & Cloud Services Nest page with relevant communication, reference and training material.
Skills:
. Degree in a relevant engineering, informatics or life sciences discipline (eg Biotechnology, Electronic/
Automation, Bio- and Process-Engineering) or corresponding job experience.
. Interest in the resolution of technical problems and in interdisciplinary teamwork (labor, software, automation).
. Experience in and willingness to work in a highly regulated industry and in labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2.
. Familiarity with or strong interest in software and engineering applications and tools such as programming (eg: VBA), statistical simulation and analysis (eg: JMP).
. Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills. Solution oriented, autonomous and proactive working style.
. Proven experience in supporting HW and SW as well as experience in laboratory diagnostics and/or service & support are additional assets.
. Working knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
