Our client, one of the big banks in Zurich, is looking for a highly skilled Python developer to work as part of one of their software teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic and tactical application development
- Work with multiple departments to ensure needs are met
- Integrate applications into the corporate platform
- Implementation, testing and maintenance of existing applications
Requirements:
- Master degree in Mathematics
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages, in particular Python
- Structured approach to programming, ability to translate given problem/algorithm into code
- Good knowledge of databases (including SQL programming)
- Passionate about software technologies and adaptable to learn new technique and/or frameworks fairly quickly
- Previous experience in a financial or statistical environment required
- Structured approach to problem solving; be proactive in finding solutions or challenge existing ones if not optimal
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent written and spoken English
