Head of Development Delivery - Development Director - Software - Agile - Java
An urgent contract opportunity has arisen with in a market leading global organisation for a Head of delivery. Successful Head of Delivery will be responsible for the direct management of sprint teams involved in the delivery of a greenfield platform. Head of Delivery will have management responsibilities of Software Engineering, Testing and Technical Operations teams. This role will require in depth and extensive knowledge of Agile process's and Java based platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate development of new platform
- Release planning, inspect & adapt
- Establish release and sprint calendar in conjunction with Programme and Product management
- Track and report release status and delivery
- Manage and mentor Test manager to ensure test strategy is in place
- Act as Agile coach for Sprint Teams
- Ensure Architecture received is understood and approved by tech team leads
Experience:
- Proven successful delivery of multi £million projects
- Experience of managing multiple teams, 3rd parties and vendors across multiple locations
- Experience in delivering new, business wide technology platforms (ideally travel or booking)
- Knowledge of delivery methodologies Agile/SCRUM
