One of our client's a leading financial institution is immediately seeking for a Senior IT Project Manager for its database automation strategy and direction across the bank's large database estate. You are responsible for the implementation project of a compelling database automation strategy, using input from key stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Project Management of the individual work streams as directed by the IT Programme Director.
- High performance on all aspects of IT project delivery, in line with commitments
- Define, communicate, execute & monitor the project plan
- Prioritise specific to individual activities, in line with agreed requirements, with appropriate work packages and key milestones.
- Maintain effective and good working relationships with programme and project stakeholders.
- Project Management through risk planning establishing appropriate mitigations and contingency plans communicated to the IT Programme Manager and key Stakeholders.
- Establishing and embedding benefit realisation management for the project using an appropriate and industry recognised methodology for the purpose of delivering the strategic objectives defined in the programme.
- Meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements
- Preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Ideal Profile
- 10 years + Education and Experience within the IT Project Management in a bank
- Proven qualification in Project Management or equivalent
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Project Management
- Knowledge of IT Project Management techniques and tools
- Direct work experience in IT Project Management capacity
- Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management
- Strong knowledge in IT infrastructure (Oracle and MS-SQL)
- Proficient in IT Project Management software
- Fluent English and German
