Java J2EE Software Engineer/Developer/Programmer
The project: This is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced Java Engineer to work within a global financial organization in Zurich.
Your tasks:
- Working in a development team, collaborating with architects
- Implementing solutions for application enhancements and features in a large Java EE environment
- Developing, maintaining and fixing bugs in the application
- Assisting Quality Assurance to maintain a high quality application
Your experience/skills:
- Bachelor/Master in Information Technology or Engineering or a similar degree
- Strong Java programming skills, SQL and JPA
- Strong knowledge of OOP, software design principles and design patterns
- Solid knowledge of best-practices in a Java development environment (test-driven development, continuous integration, source code control)
- Preferably knowledge of Agile development practices
