Our customer, a market leader in their industry requires a Unix Specialist to perform the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Acquisition of operational responsibility of complex virtual and physical Redhat Linux server infrastructure based on VMware vSphere and HP hardware ( Enclosure and Rack Mount )
- Incident and problem management as part of the 1st and 2nd level support
- Optimization and development of our tools and were responsible for the entire environment
- Support and cooperation with introductions and maintenance activities and operations in Service Operation Center (SOC)
- Competent information and services in operational questions to our internal customers
- Support, cooperation, and in some cases part of project management in infrastructure or application projects for further development of Unix infrastructure
- Weekends and call bets
- Creation and maintenance of documentation
- Practical training of computer science learners
Skills needed:
- Completed computer science education (federally. Fachausweis/diploma, HF, FH)
- Solid knowledge of Linux (Redhat with advantage) and VMware
- Knowledge Software deployment, integration and - paketierung
- Willingness to supervise call service, remote support or weekend shifts
- Very good German and good English skills in speaking and writing
- Independent and solution-oriented approach
- Team capable, service-oriented, and resilient personality
- Systematic thinking and approach
- Good communication skills in and outside the team
- Willingness to learn as well as accurate and reliable operation
Advantage:
- Additional knowledge in JBoss and WebSphere
- Technical and professional knowledge of HP hardware ( Enclosure and Rack Mount )
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting
- General knowledge and general practice experience in the banking sector would be an advantage
