For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedDB2 Database Architect w/ Disaster Recovery & Dataflow Analysis (2591)
About the job:
A small team with 7 – DB2 Sys Admins / Engineers & and 4 DBAs.
The team is responsible for all DB2 related service delivery, engineering und DB2 architecture tasks.
For Sys Admin they deliver a 7x24H On Call and/or weekend Support
For this role as an DB2 LUW Data & Database Architect / Engineer with long-term experience in the DB2 & partially AIX Area we are looking for the following skillset:
Optimization, Backup & Restore strategies, Indexes, XML optimization
Performance Tuning – Strategies for improved performance across the whole Performance Stack
Disaster Recovery and High Availability - Techniques such as Linux Clustering, Tivoli Storage Automation, HADR SAN Replication, Global Mirroring
Extending functionality, sometimes integrating with legacy systems
Warehouse experience (Banking)
Experience with new Storage technologies like 'Flash storage', Storage tiring
Experience with Column based Databases like Terradata, Neteeza..
Programming (Perl, shell)
Integration with External Applications
Capacity Planning
Dataflow analysis for performance improvement to reduce physical IO in a complex environment
