For our client in Zurich we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer

Your responsibilities:

  • to integrate the vendor based product seamlessly into a rather complex IT infrastructure
  • to implement automation capabilities to support automated installations and upgrades
  • to work with an agile team of senior software engineers
  • to translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into IT specifications and architectural designs
  • to manage the solution hardware inventory
  • to work closely with IT architects and other IT development teams within the organisation to design solid application interfaces
  • to coordinate the software development and testing with external vendors, acting as a key contact for any questions or issues which may arise
  • to quality check the vendor deliverables, including test case creation, test case review, design review, code review, test execution etc.
  • to support the Quality Assurance/Test cycles

    As the ideal candidate you have the following qualifications and experience:
  • a successful track record of vendor based software integration projects (min. 5 years of experience)
  • proven expert knowledge of vendor software packaging for UNIX and Linux type OS
  • proven expert knowledge of automating distributed installations using industry standard tools
  • proven expert knowledge of key enterprise integration requirements (security, automation, segregation of duties, monitoring )
  • experience in technical vendor management (issue handling,llaborative solution elaboration, patch/test cycles handling)
  • thorough understanding of software development, configuration management, source code management, and software release processes
  • experience with Agile development methodology and tools
  • experience with Actimize Software would be a big plus
  • business knowledge in the area of Anti Money Laundering would be a big plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with close attention to detail
  • A self-starter who is highly pro-active, committed, reliable and responsive
