For a six months project at our banking client's site in Zurich, we are looking for a

Senior Business Analyst and Derivatives Expert (2501)

Our client is constantly assessing the need for and feasibility of changes to its legal structure in light of regulatory trends and requirements. As a firm, they actively support global measures aimed at increasing the stability of the financial system and resolving the too big to fail' agenda in several countries. This resulted for example in our client's intention to establish a new subsidiary for their Retail & Corporate and WM business booked in Switzerland.
A new department was created within Group Operations as a center of expertise to coordinate and implement the required legal structure changes across the various regions.
The program consists of three main pillars:
The implementation of a new subsidiary of in Switzerland, the creation of an Intermediate Holding Company (IHC) in the U.S. and adjustments to the subsidiary in the UK.

Objectives:
As the Derivatives SME for this project, your time will be focused on contributing to the strategic change agenda of the NewCo/AG Operations Project for OTC Rates/Credit/Equities while steering and managing the impact to operating model through all phases of the project

Main Activities:

  • Analysis, creation and tracking of functional requirements OTC Derivatives incl. all dependencies
  • Documentation of all testing, migration and business configuration requirements, dependencies and assumptions, building a robust implementation strategy
  • Work with SMEs from multiple areas to understand what Data Items need to be migrated and from which applications, and scope of historical-data migration necesary
  • Support IT during design, build and test phase of test and migration requirements
  • Planning and development of manual migration activities if required
  • Plan, develop and drive story book execution and its update during test and migration execution
  • Analyse and document future business processed on NewCo side for sign-off by the Service Line/Delivery functional streams
  • Ensure coordination among stakeholders within and outside of Group Operations

General Expectations:

  • University degree or equivalent certificate
  • In-depth understanding of OTC Derivatives products, Front to back processes and implications of the legal/regulatory environment
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, adherence to timeline, especially where regulatory deadlines are involved
  • Implementation and delivery focused, strong hands-on and independent, pro-active personality
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills and must be delivery focused, strong hands-on and independent, pro-active personality
  • Change and project management skills, involvement in large-scale, inter-disciplinary and multi-location initiative would be a plus
  • Committed team player with strong entrepreneurial spirit
