For our client in Zurich we are looking for a

PMO/Project Lead with a strong IT background

The role is responsible for ensuring planning, execution, communication and coordination of large scaled events in the IT departments. She/he has to actively plan the events together with the relevant stakeholders and present the schedule and activities to a decision board to receive necessary approvals.Strong communication and coordination skills are required to succeed in this role. It actively supports all streams with planning details, delivers templates and guidance for and during the event.To minimize operation risks, the role must actively collaborate with the Change Management team and other member of the Service Transition community.

Your responsibilities:

  • in the preparation phase of the event, create an IT Control Tower Info Package, that contains Info Package (= Master Document), containing:
  • Org Chart of all important participating streams;
  • Activity Plan containing all important activities of the event; the plan includes the dependencies between activities and streams; it must be created in close collaboration with the involved streams and stakeholders
  • Communication Plan & Templates
  • Scope List
  • IT CT Core Team & Stakeholder List
  • Risk Management Plan
  • Action Item and Issue list
  • Kick-off Meeting
  • Plan & coordinate deployment execution of production changes (incl. DR)
  • during the execution and early-life support phase of the event:
  • track & report on all planned IT CT Activities
  • make sure, all activities are execute
  • make sure, Early Life Support is initiated
  • conduct regular status calls with involved parties
  • send out consolidated status report to all stakeholders
  • ensure audit compliance
  • conduct internal and extern Lessons Learned sessions
  • incorporate changes out of LL session into the process
  • update the process documentation to reflect the evolution of the process and event

    As the ideal candidate you have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Planning and scheduling
  • Assessing and responding to risks
  • very good understanding of IT Service Operation & Transition processes and involved tools
  • ITIL foundation certificate
  • Business & Management Processes (nice to have)
  • Project management certificate (nice to have)
  • Business Engineering (nice to have)
  • Proven level of knowledge/experience and expertise in the following areas of personal competence:
  • Communication
  • Interpersonal skills and conflict resolution
  • Decision-making
