Junior ETL Developer - Bern - German Speaking - 9+ month
The DWH/ELT Junior Developer ensures, together with the DBA, the operations, support and maintenance of the Oracle DWH Platform of our customer. He/she monitors the ELT jobs, analyses and eliminates errors and conducts a continual optimization. He/she tests and installs new releases of standard software. In the context of projects, he/she supports the senior DWH/ELT solution developers.
ETL Developer Duties & Responsibilities
- Execution of operation and support tasks regarding standard and individual soft-ware for BI and data management (ELT), in particular BI and analytical tools, ELT tools as well as corresponding bespoke software.
- Scheduling (online and batch) with Cronacle
- Problem analysis, optimization
- 2nd level support
- Contribution to projects
- Physical DWH design based on a given specification
- Implementation, testing and optimization of ELT processes with ODI, based on a given specification
- Testing of new or modified modules
- Support of the senior DWH/ELT developer
ETL Developer Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
- Relevant certification would be a plus (Oracle Certified Professional or equivalent, as well as OWB and ODI)
- At least 1 year of experience as Oracle DWH developer
- At least 1 year of experience in the implementation of ELT processes with OWB or ODI or several years of experience with another ELT tool
- Knowledge of Datamodelling in the DWH context as well as the utilization of Ora-cle tools as well as Toad are an advantage
- Knowledge of Hermes is a plus, as well as relevant experience and certifications
