System Support Engineer German Speaking
Primary Tasks and responsibilities
3rd Line support (troubleshooting, incident management, debugging)
Server monitoring, administration and operation, mainly Exchange and MS SQL Server
Design & deploy solutions
Project related site deployment and integration
Integrate solutions together with other application teams
Executing planned maintenance (security patching, operating system and tooling upgrades, )
Performance monitoring & tuning
Improvement and extension of operational stability
Creation and improvements of operational guidelines, implementation guidelines and QA documentation
Disaster recovery design & support activities
Non-Technical profile requirements
Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work)
Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
Quick learner, motivated self-starter
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines
On-call permanency is possible Methodology/Certification requirements
Strong knowledge Microsoft Server technologies, Exchange, MS SQL and Powershell scripts
Microsoft MCSE, MCITP or MCSA on Windows Server technologies
Experience with Linux is a plus
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science OR OR Federal Diploma in Information Technology . Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred Language proficiencies
