For a try and hire project at our industry client site in Zurich Winterthur, starting in January 2015, we are looking for an experienced
Network Engineer (2365)

You will be responsible for the global Network at our client.
In this role you will ensure reliable operations, future development and road map of our clients network environment.
Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Assuring that global Network is functioning stable and reliable at all times and maintained by standard operating procedures
• Supporting the global team as last level support in severe incidents
• Developing and designing our clients Network environment according to the best practices applied to the industry
• Assuring that network monitoring has been set up correctly and updated after system changes
• Participating in different development and migration projects where you collaborate with different infrastructure teams and project organization
• Responsible of network problem resolution (ITIL) escalated through incident processes
• Managing and directing vendors
• Pro-actively identifying changes needed in the environment lifecycle and make recommendations for improvements with the subsequent implementation
• Supporting in connecting 3rd party access required by business into our clients network but also assuring reliability, manageability and lifecycle management of the platform
• Assuring high security of network in cooperation with the CISO Team and the client and server teams
• Develop a support team structure and processes to ensure good response times in incident, service and change processes (ITIL)
• Assuring that environment documentation is up-to-date and assuring business continuity plans are being tested regularly

Your qualifications:
• We expect a profound education in Computer Science or similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a technical role with networks and network equipment, routers, switches, wan acceleration, firewalls, Cisco, Riverbed, preferably in an international and large environment
• Preferred: CCNA, (CCNP R&S it’s a plus)
• Minimum 3+ years of project work experience
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and processes
• Hands-on experience and willingness in designing and troubleshooting in a VPN and MPLS environments
• Ability to collaborate/coordinate in a diversified team located across the globe through projects, design, development and last level support
• Strong acknowledge in DNS, IPM, DHCP (Preferably INFOBLOX)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, partnering and facilitation skills
• Self-driven and proactive but able to respect and follow guidelines, regulations and standards
• English only speakers welcome

The position is based in Winterthur, Switzerland. This is a permanent position and there may be some travel required , including international travel (5-10%).
