Senior Network Engineer F5
Edelway SA is a Swiss IT Services Consultancy. Our global multinational end-client based in Basel is currently looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer on a long-term basis. Working language: English. German is a plus.
Full time engagement until end of 2014 (extension up to at least 12 month)
Starting Date: ASAP
THE ROLE:
-40% Support Calls (Tier 1/2)
- Handle first line escalations from Service Desk
-IP Address assignments
-Switchport and VLAN assignments
-Performance and connectivity troubleshooting
-Wireless connectivity troubleshooting
-30% Support Escalation, Advanced troubleshooting, Performance Monitoring, and continuous service improvement
-30% Project based
-Daily Support for Cisco Campus Network consisting of 15 Buildings across Cambridge and Boston
YOUR PROFILE:
-8 Years IT Experience and Minimum 5 years direct Network Experience in a Fast Paced Environment
MUST:
-Expert configuring and supporting F5 LTM and GTM appliances
-Expert Level using TCPDUMP and Network Sniffers for Advanced troubleshooting
-must have Expertise with Routing and Switching in Global Enterprise environment
-Hands on experience with Checkpoint Firewall/UTM
-Ability to Support and troubleshoot Routing Protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
-Must demonstrate proficiency in structured, problem-solving methodology
-Solid understanding of Cisco Wireless in the Enterprise
-Experience supporting either Cisco ASA for remote access
-QoS, VoIP, VRF, VRRP, HSRP, STP
-IPS Technologies - TippingPoint
-Experience building metrics and reporting - trending
A Plus will be:
- Cisco Wireless - WCS, WISM, Controllers, LWAP, Clean Air
- Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K
- Cisco CallManager, Unity, IPCC
- QIP DNS/DHCP IP Address Administration
- Understanding of GxP Compliance
