Contract Senior Applications/System Engineer is required by our IT Services client to join a high profile financial services client based in Zurich on a 6 month contract basis.
In this role you will be both overseeing and contributing to the maintenance and 3rd level support of a set of applications including the respective base Infrastructure.
To be considered you will have strong experience gained in a similar role and will be expected to have in depth knowhow and profound experience in the following areas:
- End to End software development life cycle including the integration of 3rd party components
- Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations
- Perl, Shell Scripting, packaging, configuration management
- Oracle product expertise, SQL, DBA experience would be a plus
- Data management and migration
- UNIX (Solaris, Linux) experience as a system engineer, Wintel experience would be a plus
- Storage and archiving solutions, product knowledge of OpenText (LES, CS, LEA, OAS) would be a plus
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)
General Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of German language is a plus
- Self-driven, efficient
- Leadership experience
- Swiss residents preferred but is not essential.
