For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for a Strategic Sourcer to join the team.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and efficiency projects for Data Center products and services with strong emphasis on Mainframe, hardware and software sourcing subject matter expertise.
- Develop, negotiate, execute and manage contracts for Data Center products and services
- Develop, issue and manage competitive RFP's, in cooperation with key stakeholders
- Evaluate and review existing product and service arrangements and recommend alternative strategies for improved efficiencies and cost savings
- Identify and translate operational requirements into systems management metrics, SLA's and contractual terms and conditions
- Lead cross functional teams (end users, legal, IT demand management, etc.) with regards to assigned supplier negotiations
- Negotiate agreements that incorporate business requirements and deliver substantial cost savings, improve service levels and ensure flexibility over the life of the agreement
- Manage multiple high value sourcing/efficiency projects concurrently
- Define IT purchasing standards in combination with IT that deliver the best value to the bank
- Introduce innovative sourcing ideas to the business, eg identify potential sourcing synergies between companies, Real Time benchmarking, knowledge sharing of best practices, etc.
We are looking for candidates:
- Strong understanding of Data Center/Infrastructure technologies, products and services
- 5+ years of contract/vendor management and/or strategic sourcing experience
- 3+ years of international experience in contract/vendor management and/or strategic sourcing activities
- Must have strong contract negotiation skills: both in-person and in writing
- Proven success leading and negotiating large (multi-million/year) IT agreements
- Successful management of strategic suppliers and key IT contracts
- Must have excellent analytical skills and experience in developing financial analysis and technology investment business cases
- Previous experience evaluating new technology offerings for business value and adoption readiness
- This is an English speaking contract. German is nice to have
