Java Developer - Our client, a major international bank, is currently looking for an experienced Java developer to join their Exchange Funds IT team. The main task will be to build out their execution platform. The developer would work as part of an agile (SCRUM) development team to deliver street side execution capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a delivery focused agile development team.
- Grooming and estimating user stories.
- Developing solutions to user stories
- Building automated tests for solutions.
- Participate and drive architecture discussions and designs.
- Participate and drive procedural change through continuous improvement and retrospectives.
Required Skills:
- Requires strong knowledge of Java and J2EE development.
- Experience working in an agile environment would be beneficial.
- Experience developing C# user interfaces would be beneficial.
- Experience working in the financial industry would be a beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.
- 5-7 years experience required.
